Courage Incorporated to hold fundraiser to support outdoor adventures
Courage Incorporated is holding its annual community fundraiser from 5-8pm on Saturday April 13, 2024 at River Rock Lanes & Banquet Center in Ishpeming, MI. The event is open to the public and tickets are $10/person at the door (kids ages 6 and under are free). The fundraiser will include a spaghetti dinner, prize raffles, a 50/50 drawing, door prizes, and more!
Over $8,000 in prizes will be given away during the in-house raffles - must be present to win.
Proceeds will go towards helping Courage Incorporated provide FREE all-inclusive outdoor excursions for physically disabled individuals and veterans, as well as those living with chronic/terminal illness.
Since 2016, Courage Incorporated has been helping people with different abilities to get into the woods and get on the water. Our programs are free for participants (and their caretakers). Programs include camping, fishing, boating, canoe/kayaking, ice fishing, hiking, outdoor cooking, and more.
People with physical disabilities, and those living with chronic or terminal illnesses, make up an under-represented segment of the outdoor recreation community. This is commonly due to lack of resources available to help differently-abled people participate outdoors. Courage Incorporated provides all of the equipment, food, and manpower needed to help give people an outdoor experience they won’t soon forget.
Courage Incorporated is an all-volunteer organization. Funds raised go directly towards programs, equipment, and operations and not towards any salary or wages.
For those unable to attend the fundraising event, donations may be made directly to Courage Incorporated via the website
