This is our last scheduled event for the 2018 season.
Rustic camping at Silver Lake Basin north of Ishpeming, MI. Enjoy a weekend camping on the shores of Silver Lake Basin where you can fish, kayak/canoe, motor boat, and swim. Fish for Northern Pike, panfish, and bass... there are once-in-a-lifetime fish in these waters! There is some hiking available and we are able to paddle or motor across the lake to some wonderfully scenic areas. Enjoy breath-taking sunsets and millions of stars as they twinkle over the beach. Nighttime brings campfires and conversation before retiring to your own tent.

LOGISTICS: We will provide everything you need for a rustic camping experience including tents, sleeping bag, air mattress or cot, headlamp/flashlight/lantern, camp kitchen utensils, campfire chair, fishing equipment, canoe/kayak, etc. Camp will be set up when you arrive so there will be no required work...just relaxation.

Depending on our clients' interests and their physical needs, we can provide volunteers to assist with most tasks associated with an adventure such as this. Examples include: setting up personal equipment you may bring, assisting with fishing (baiting hook, casting, landing/releasing fish), guided hikes, canoe paddling, etc.
We have limited capability to assist with travel and/or cargo transport so our clients should plan on being able get themselves ( and any equipment they choose to bring) to and from the event. Please let us know if you require special travel/cargo accommodations.
Clients who have a care-taker or support person are welcome to include them on the adventure. There are no costs involved for our participants and/or any caretakers that accompany them.
We encourage you to bring any special needs along with you that you feel would be necessary (medications, crutches or walking sticks, electronic medical devices such as insulin pumps, etc). Please remember that we will be out in the elements, so plan accordingly if you need to bring such devices. We also encourage (but do not require) you to bring anything that will make you more comfortable during the adventure, such as a personal pillow, sunscreen, bug spray, etc.
We do not guarantee that any medical staff will be on site so all of our adventures are at your own risk. At times we may have volunteer(s) with EMT or Nursing backgrounds, but clients should not count on medical staff being available. We will have basic first aid needs available.
